Fast andamp; Furious Supercharged now a part of theme park

Universal Studios Hollywood has opened a new ride dedicated to the Fast andamp; Furious franchise offering fans a chance to get behind the wheel and experience their own street car races at the theme park.

Universal isn't just involved in the business of making movies. With over four locations worldwide and others on the way, Universal's theme parks have become successful in their own right. The Universal Studios Hollywood, is currently undergoing a massive expansion with many new rides such as the Harry Potterandndash;themed section being inducted in it by the next year.

The studio's latest ride - Fast andamp; Furious andndash; Supercharged, based on the series of films starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock has been opened for public. This latest ride promises to take passengers in the world of street racing at perceived speeds of 120 miles per hour.

This entire section sprawls a good 65,000 square feet and features a claimed world's most expansive and longest 360-degree screen andndash; measuring in at 400 feet in length. The ride employs 34 screens, with 4,000 projectors and a specially configured projection system to envelop guests in unprecedented realism.

The opening ceremony of the Fast andamp; Furious andndash; Supercharged was attended by Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Jason Statham. To add spice to the event a Dodge Charger - similar to the one used in the Fast andamp; Furious 7, drove in at high speed up the ramp and then came straight out of a poster ripping it apart. The event was concluded with this action packed stunt.

The tickets to the ride start in at Rs 5,099 and go all the way up to Rs 20,977 for the VIP passes.
