2015 has been without a doubt the year of AMG and to add to the salvo of cars already launched, Mercedes-Benz will launch the new C63 S in India tomorrow. The new Mercedes-Benz will be powered by a twin turbo V8 engine that makes a staggering 510PS engine and 710Nm of peak torque. We expect the new Mercedes-Benz C63 S to be priced between Rs 1.2-1.4 crores. The new Mercedes-Benz C63 S will also come with the Designo design option which lets customers choose a level of customisation for the interior shade in terms of leather interiors, dashboard trims and of course, sportier seats. The C63 S will also come with a host of additional features over the likes of the normal C63 which will not be available in India. The new C63 S gets the likes of special 19-inch wheels wrapped in high performance tyres.
On the mechanical front, the 4.0-litre V8 engine as we discussed earlier makes 510Ps of peak power that is sent through a 7-speed AMG-Speedshift gearbox to the rear wheels making the car go from 0-100kmph in a staggering 4.0-seconds and on to a limited top speed of 250kmph. Of course, in India, Mercedes-Benz might give the option to remove the limiter and de-restricting the C63 S AMG making it much faster. The new C63 S will also be equipped with optional carbon ceramic brakes in India. Expect the C63 S AMG to go up against the likes of the BMW M3 in India and the V8 powered Maserati Ghibli amogst other cars.
