BMW M4

Introduced in 2013, the 4 Series Coupe is one of BMW’s newest nameplates and it was created to replace the previous-generation 3 Series Coupe. While the 4 Series took over the two-door versions of the 3 Series, the latter badge was kept for the four-door sedan. Compared to its predecessor, it adopted a new, but evolutionary design inside and out, and received a lineup of brand-new and revised engines. The high-performance version was also rebadged from the M3 Coupe to the M4.

It’s been almost three years since the redesigned M4 made its global debut, and BMW is readying a mid-cycle facelift for the beefed-up coupe. Likely to break cover in the first half of 2017, the upcoming M4 was spotted tested just a few days after BMW took the facelifted 4 Series out for a spin. Although the camouflaged front and rear fascias prevents us from having a good look at the changes, the revised M3, which went on sale for the 2016 model year, gives us plenty of hints as to what to expect from the "new" coupe.

All told, there aren’t many changes in store, but the nips and tucks should be enough to keep the M4 fresh in front of its competitors and BMW enthusiasts happy for a few years. Keep reading for the full rundown and stay tuned for updates.
