Jaguar E-Pace


When we first starting looking at these images, we were a bit confused. Why are our photographers sending us pictures of a 2016 Range Rover Evoque under heavy camo? Once the license plate was checked against records with the DVLA, things became a little clearer – it is a Jaguar that is disguised to look like a Range Rover Evoque. It’s not the first time we’ve seen this trick. If you remember correctly, early mules of the Jaguar F-Pace were also disguised in such a manner.

Back in May of 2015, it was announced that Jaguar wanted a baby crossover to slot below the F-Pace, so it would only make sense that this could be that new, smaller SUV. We expect this smaller SUV to go by the moniker of E-Pace – quite suitable for a smaller variant of the F-Pace, don’t you think?

Since this prototype is wearing the body of the Evoque, we have no way of knowing what kind of design cues we’ll see with the E-Pace, but that doesn’t stop us from speculating – at least until we see the E-Pace testing in its own skin. With that said, let’s dive into these spy images and talk a little about Jaguar’s future baby SUV.
