Pagani Huayra BC


Although it’s been around since 2012, the Pagani Huayra has yet to spawn more than a few special-edition versions. But now that all 100 units of the supercar have been sold, the Italian carmaker is working on new iterations of the model, two of which will be the Huayra Roadster and a more hardcore version of the coupe. While the former is still a mystery, the latter has surfaced the Interwebz in a teaser image revealed on the automaker’s Facebook page.

However, the supercar was still wrapped in black-and-white, QC-code-pattern camouflage, as it was several months ago when it was spotted on the road, and Pagani had nothing to say about it, which left us with no alternative but to play the guessing game. Fortunately, the large wing attached to its deck lid was enough confirmation that this is indeed a more hardcore version of the Huayra, while the #huayrabc hashtag was a hint that it may be called the Huayra BC.

This scenario was recently confirmed by the folks over at Prototype Zero, who found out that BC stands for Benny Caiola, one of the first Pagani customers, as well as a great friend of Horacio. So while the Zonda F was dedicated to Formula One ace Juan Manuel Fangio, the Huayra BC was developed in honor of Caiola, who owned several Zondas, including a Zonda F, which regularly driven by Horacio himself. Updated 02/15/2016: A new report from PrototypeZero indicates that the upcoming Huayra BC will be significantly lighter and more powerful that the usual Huayra. Read on to learn by how much. Also, the model will be unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in early March.
