Acura MDX

Just a couple weeks ago, Acura dropped a teaser image of the 2017 Acura MDX that offered up a decent preview of the upcoming revisions to the SUV, but it also left a lot of questions. Now, with the doors open at the New York Auto Show, we’re finally getting to lay eyes on the refreshed MDX, and there are some exciting changes to talk about.

John Mendel, the Executive Vice President of American Honda Motor Co., said, “Upping the performance pedigree of the MDX with bold styling, our exclusive Sport Hybrid powertrain and the standard application of AcuraWatch technologies that many in the industry refer to as semi-autonomous, represents a major injection of Acura’s Precision Crafted Performance DNA.” He continued, “These changes will continue to advance MDX’s competitiveness and its legacy as the best-selling three-row luxury SUV of all time.”

Along with some fresh styling inside and out, the 2017 MDX also comes with a long list of standard features, including some advanced safety and driver-assistive features that move the MDX to the head of its class. The 2017 MDX is slated to go on sale later this year in the summer, with the MDX Sport Hybrid hitting dealerships later on in the year. Until that happens, let’s take a look at the new MDX and what it brings to the SUV market.
