Mercedes-AMG GT S by Lorinser

The Mercedes AMG GT S and its little brother, the AMG GT, have become a favorite among aftermarket tuners. In the past few months alone, we’ve seen both sports cars get some tuning love from some notable tuners, including Mansory, Brabus, and Wheelsandmore. Now we get Lorinser, a noted German tuner that has made a business of creating tuning kits for Mercedes models. In this instance, Lorinser’s program covers both the AMG GT and the AMG GT S, giving both sports cars an improved output of 595 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.

That’s an impressive gain considering that the AMG GT “only” comes with an output of 456 ponies and 443 pound-feet of torque whereas the AMG GT S has 503 ponies and 479 pound-feet of twist on tap. But more than just the engine tune, Lorinser is also including a fancy set of wheels that gives both Mercedes sports cars a more pronounced stance and a much better look.

Sure, it’s not the most comprehensive tuning kit we’ve seen from Lorinser. It’s not even the most impressive one that’s available for both the AMG GT and the AMG GT S. But for what it’s worth, quite literally, it does enough to make a significant improvement on the Merc sports cars. It should have its share of interested customers, especially those who would prefer to keep the AMG GT and the AMG GT S from turning into rockets on four wheels.
