Bugatti Chiron And Vision GT Concept To Be Showcased Side-By-Side At Pebble Beach Concours


The Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance always attracts its share of exotics and exclusive models. It won’t be different in this year’s event as Bugatti has confirmed the attendance of its new Chiron hypercar and the Vision Grand Turismo show car at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering event.

The part about both cars attending isn’t exactly the big deal here. After all, both the Chiron and the VGT show car have already made their respective world debuts. That said, this will be the first time that the show car will be displayed in the United States and having it sit beside the car that it had a hand in inspiring from a design point of view adds to the appeal of having both of them at Pebble Beach.

In the Instagram post touting the cars’ participation at Pebble Beach, Bugatti also indicated that the two cars that will be at Pebble Beach already has an owner, which the company identified by his Instagram handle, @b14. But according to Auto Evolution, the account and more importantly, the Chiron and the VGT show car are owned by no less than Prince Badr bin Saud, the grandson of the late King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Bugatti didn’t say how much the prince bought the two cars for, but it did say that he had “submitted the most convincing bid.” In other words, it had a lot of zeroes in it.
