Mercedes-Maybach Teases New Concept Car For Pebble Beach

Pebble Beach is known as a charitable event that holds a Concours d’Elegance that brings together some of the world’s rarest and most beautiful classic cars, but it’s also the place where many exotic modern cars have made their public debut in recent years. This year’s edition will be no different and it seems that we’ll be seeing at least one spectacular concept car in the metal. It comes from Mercedes-Benz and it’s a massive, 20-foot long two-door coupe.

The German brand unveiled the teaser above on its Facebook page with the following caption: "A new age of automotive luxury stretches before us — and it spans nearly 20 feet in length. True beauty deserves room to breathe."

Although this statement doesn’t provide much information, the sheer size of the vehicle and the badge visible on the C-pillar suggests we’re looking at a Maybach concept car. On the other hand, now that Mercedes-Benz has an S-Class Coupe in its stable, a production two-door Maybach based on the massive Merc is more than feasible. With the underpinnings and engine already up for grabs (with certain modifications, of course), the luxury brand will only have to handle the coachbuilding and the new interior.
