Chevrolet Camaro

With spy shots in hand, we’ve made a redering that shows what we think the 2016 Camaro will look like.

Speculation is continuing to grow around the upcoming 2016 Chevrolet Camaro as more spy shots and teasers roll in. Confirmed details at this point are scarce, but we do know the upcoming Camaro will have a more evolutionary update versus a more extensive redesign. Now let’s add some fuel to the speculation fire with our new, highly detailed rendering.

While there are few confirmed facts, we do know the car will ride on GM’s proven Alpha platform. The Camaro will share that platform with the Cadillac ATS and the recently reworked CTS sedans. Still rear-wheel drive, the updated platform will allow Chevy to better compete with the independent rear suspension setup underpinning the new 2015 Ford Mustang.

But The General can’t mess too much with success, as the current Camaro is already selling like hotcakes. That’s why Chevy’s prodigious performance recipe needs to remain familiar. Let’s have a closer look at the next-gen Camaro in the speculative review below, ahead of its official debut in the second quarter of the year.

Updated 03/19/2015: The new generation Camaro will be making its world debut on May 16th, 2015 - but until then Chevrolet teased us with some new details on its new muscle car. Continue reading to learn more about a car described to be new from "the grille’s bowtie to the rear spoiler."
