Scion iA



The Toyota-owned Scion brand launched back in 2004 with the release of the xA and xB hatchbacks. Since then, the brand has expanded to selling a coupe (tC) and a sports car (FR-S), but it has yet to venture into the realm of sedans. This is all about to change in 2015, as the brand will unveil its first-ever sedan on March 31, 2015, a day before the New York Auto Show. No, this is not a production version of the oft-rumored FR-S sedan; instead, this is a subcompact that Scion has dubbed the iA.


To help ramp up excitement for the new iA – if you actually get excited over a new subcompact sedan – Scion has revealed a teaser image that shows part of the front end. The details on the iA remain under lock and key, but Toyota did recently ink a deal with another Japanese automaker, which helped me put some of the puzzle pieces together.
