Now that Pagani has sold its allotment of 100 Huayra supercars (although Mr. Pagani might build you one more if you ask nicely and have plenty of cash), the company has begun work on its next model. The Huayra Roadster is slated to debut in 2016 and will be built at a new, larger factory, not even 200 meters away from Pagani’s current facility near Modena, Italy.
Speaking with Netherlands’ De Telegraaf Autovisie, Pagani spokesman Luca Venturi said the new factory will open in September, with a capacity of between 200 and 300 cars per year. That’s quite a jump from Pagani’s current output, which is normally in the low double digits. Despite the new factory’s larger capacity, the Huayra Roadster will also be limited to 100 units to maintain exclusivity. But, the new factory could have broader implications for the Huayra’s replacement.
