Porsche 991 Targa 4S Driven On The French Coast: Video

With the introduction of the Type 991 911 Targa, Porsche marked a return to the older body style for the nameplate. Although the original Targa was only built because Porsche believed that the NHTSA was on the verge of outlawing conventional convertibles, the body style has picked up quite a few fans over the years, and these fans are overjoyed to see the design back in showrooms. Among these fans is Marchettino, an Italian blogger and creator of many fine supercar-themed videos. He is seen here driving a new Targa in France and then (more importantly) in Monaco.

The streets of Monte Carlo are set up already for the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix, and Marchettino does a bit of driving on the course, including the famous tunnel. He does get to do some fast driving, but not in the city, as the F1 course hasn’t quite been set up to the point where it is closed to all other traffic. But one of the more important moments of the video to watch for is when he is driving around in Monte Carlo, people a looking and taking pictures of the car. Even here, where supercars are the norm, the Targa can still turn heads.
