Called by the Italian supercar maker as a 'Collector's Masterpiece of Engineering and Design', this open racing prototype boasts of breathtaking performance. The car is driven by a 6.5-litre V12 engine and comes equipped with the fast shifting Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission. Employing dual shifting rods, the ISR is claimed by Lamborghini, to be able to shift nearly 50 per cent faster than a comparable dual-clutch gearbox, while weighing considerably less. This hypercar accelerates from 0-100kmph in just 2.9 seconds with a top-speed of 355kmph. Limited to just nine units the car costs a whopping Rs 28.8 crore.

Celebrating 20 years since its victory in the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans, McLaren announced that it would resurrect the GTR name by launching a track-only version of the P1 - the McLaren P1 GTR. The P1 GTR production model was officially unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and will go into production in 2015, after all the 375 standard McLaren P1's have been built. A 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine powers the McLaren P1 and churns out over 900PS of power. The same engine unit will underpin the new McLaren P1 GTR, but to produce a staggering 1,000PS of power. The GTR will be made available to the 375 McLaren P1 owners only, and will be a very limited edition of 35 units. . The Surrey-based carmaker has priced this car at Rs 20.2 crore.

The Veyron EB 16.4 is named in honour of Pierre Veyron, a Bugatti development engineer, test driver and company race driver who, with co-driver Jean-Pierre Wimille, won the 1939 24 hours of Le Mans while driving a Bugatti. This hypercar is powered by an 8.0-litre 16-cylinder V8 engine that churns out a massive 1,200PS of power and allows the supercar to accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 2.6 seconds. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse is priced at Rs 15.7 crore and bags the third spot in the list of the most expensive cars in the world.

Koenigsegg Agera One:1 debuted at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The Swedish carmaker christened its hypercar One:1 keeping in mind an important aspect. The weight of this car is equivalent to its power. Yes, you heard it right. The car weighs 1,340kg and produces a good 1,340PS of power, thus drawing an inspiration to its name, an equal-power-to-weight-ratio. The One:1 is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in just five seconds and is priced at Rs 12.5 crore.

This hypercar is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in just 3.2 seconds before hitting a top-speed of 372kmph. This supercar is priced at Rs 8.1 crore.

The Hennessey Venom GT is a supercar manufactured by Texas-based Hennessey Performance Engineering and assembled in England. The Venom GT comes equipped with 7.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of delivering 1,500PS of power. This supercar sprints from 0-100kmph in just two seconds and also holds the Guinness Book of world Record for doing the 0-300kmph sprint in just 13.63 seconds. The Venom GT claims a top-speed of 461.88kmph and comes with a price tag of Rs 6.9 crore.
