Maruti is on a roll. With the Ciaz and the new Swift already launched, the Manesar-based carmaker has now shifted focus towards its smaller Alto K10. Maruti will launch the new Alto K10 on November 3.
The new Maruti Alto K10 will get restyled and larger headlamps, a new chrome grille and a redesigned bumper and a new set of fog lamps. At the back, the taillights too will get a new design. The engine bay is now shorter than before which will effectively make more room on the inside. To carve out more cabin room, Maruti Suzuki has increased its width and height.
Talking about the interiors, the updated Alto K10 will also get a new dashboard and steering wheel. The silver-black combination has nicely been integrated into the centre console, steering wheel and the instrument cluster. The quality of plastic will also see an improvement over the outgoing model.
The changes on the new Alto K10 will not just be restricted to the design and features. Although the Alto K10 will continue to sport the same 1.0-litre engine with the exact same power and torque ratings, it has been remapped to deliver better fuel efficiency. The Alto K10 facelift will also come with an optional AMT transmission.
The updated Maruti Alto K10 will take on the likes of the Hyundai Eon 1.0-litre and the Datsun Go when it is launched next week.
