The Ferretti Group, known for building some of the most luxurious motor yachts in the world, has announced the debut of the Riva 76, which will take place at the Cannes Yacht Festival in September 2015, proving yet again that when it comes to debuting its yachts, the company knows how to make a splash.
Pun notwithstanding, the company also confirmed that construction of its latest motor yacht is currently underway at its facility in La Spezia, Italy. Multiple reports have come out on what the Riva 76 is going to look like, and there seems to be growing positive sentiment among boat connoisseurs regarding the Ferretti Group’s latest masterpiece.
CEO Alberto Galassi describes it as an evolutionary model that links the “inheritance of the past” with state-of-the-art technology.”
The Riva 76 will prominently feature a Moon Grey hull with splashes of styling cues derived from some of the company’s most prolific models, including the iconic Riva Mythos. Like any yacht worth its proverbial sea salt, the Riva 76 will also have a list of luxury amenities, including a full-beam master suite, a 10-foot tender garage, and two more cabins with their own en-suite. Keeping with this mega luxurious theme, the yacht’s interior finishing will also be handled by the likes of Armani Casa and Port Saint Lauren.
Last but not least is the engine, which in this case will be a pair of MAN V-12s that are capable of generating 1,550 horsepower to go with a top speed of around 37 knots.
The yacht is shaping up to be a show-stopper in every sense of the word. If you want to look at the Ferretti Group’s long and esteemed track record of building high-quality luxury yachts, the Riva 76 is unlikely to disappoint.
