New Rolls-Royce Phantom coming next year

Rolls Royce Phantom

The Rolls-Royce Phantom has been with us for the last ten years. There has been a minor update a few years ago with a more edgy front, but apart from that, not much has really changed. Now though, reports of an all-new Phantom are quickly rolling in. The new Phantom will be launched next year and will feature all-new styling.

The new and redesigned Phantom will have a 'more modern' and imposing appearance with a taller grille and less formal C-pillars according to Automobile magazine that broke the announcement. The car is expected to be offered in both standard wheelbase and long wheelbase, the latter being especially popular in countries like China. The new Phantom though might not get the coupe and convertible versions like available today though, since the Wraith and Dawn cater to that clientele already.

According to sources, little else is known about the new Rolls-Royce Phantom apart from the fact that it is expected to ride on the same aluminum platform that will underpin the upcoming Cullinan crossover. The model is also slated to use a BMW-sourced V12 engine but there's no word on specifications. Expect the Phantom to be the most expensive sedan in the world and to be even more luxurious and powerful than ever before.
