Motorsport provides as much a reason to celebrate success as it improves competence on a race track. And when you prove the later with a title at the pinnacle of motorsport, you make sure everyone knows. Mercedes in this case after winning the 2014 F1 World Championship and securing a 1-2 in the drivers' standings, has released a 2014 Championship special Collector's edition SL63 AMG.

There are two versions of this Collector's edition - Black with gold accents and white with silver accents designed by Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. You can guess who designed which one without being too bright. The SL63 AMG is restricted to 19 units each with one of the 19 F1 championship circuit layouts embedded into the floor mats, key and dashboard. The Black one here gets the Silverstone layout while the White one has the Hockenheim track map.

The SL63 AMG is powered by a 5.5-litre turbocharged V8 developing 537PS of power and 800Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 4.3 seconds and has a top speed limited to 250kmph. The convertible then is the ideal car in the Mercedes lineup to celebrate the F1 victory.


Of the 19 races held this year, Mercedes won 16 races with 11 1-2 finishes. It was a dominant performance is a car that was clearly far ahead of the pack.
