Lamborghini Aventador SV Official Video - Behind The Scenes: Video

Similar to how Ferrari is mighty proud of its 488 GTB launch movie, its arch-enemy from Sant’Agata Bolognese has also decided to offer a behind-the-scenes look at how the official footage for its latest creation was filmed. I am of course talking about the Aventador LP 750-4 Super Veloce and its heart-pumping reveal video, for which some of the scenes required a bit more attention than usual.

Despite being a "making of" video, the footage above is not exactly a rough cut, but edited to be more interesting. Unfortunately, the result is a bit too mainstream I think, and the musical soundtrack could have been replaced by actual (exhaust) sounds from the original shoot, but maybe that is just me. Either way, the video’s main character looks and sounds good no matter how the footage is edited.

Powered by a 6.5-liter, V-12 that develops 740 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque, the Aventador SV LP 750-4 is the most powerful production Lamborghini in history. Apart from being 50 horsepower more powerful than the base Aventador, the Super Veloce is also 110 pounds lighter, resulting in a 0-62 mph acceleration of just 2.8 seconds. Despite the improved downforce, which usually results in more drag, the LP 750-4 SV can hit at least 217 mph.
