Michelin has added a new premium range tyre to its India portfolio, the Latitude Sport 3, targeted at premium SUV and crossover buyers. The Latitude Sport 3 will cost you Rs 21,226 depending on size, pattern and taxes. Michelin says that this trye offers superior performance in the wet and has considerably low rolling resistance.
The on-road tyres are factory fitments for cars like the Porsche Macan and BMW X5 and targets all premium SUVs competing in this segment from Audi to Land Rover to Porsche. The tyre is designed for comfort and grip and has reduced rolling resistance by 25 percent compared to the previous generation of the tyre.
The Latitude Sport 3 is available in three wheel sizes andndash; 17, 18 and 19 inch and comes in four dimensions andndash; 235/55 R17 with the V speed index, 235/60 R18 with W speed index, 255/50 R19 with W speed index and 255/55 R18 with Y speed index.
The V speed index denotes a max speed of 240kmph, W is 270kmph and Y is 300kmph. Mohan Kumar, Commercial Director, Michelin India said "We are delighted to bring the iconic Latitude Sport 3 tyres to the Indian market at a time when demand for premium SUVs in India, is growing. Latitude Sport 3 will cater to the tech savvy and upwardly mobile consumer, who wants a dynamic and luxury performance, with practicality of everyday use."
