For all fans of full-blown SUVs the wait is soon going to be over. Ford will launch the 2016 Endeavour in India this month. The American car maker had stopped production of the Endeavour in mid-2015 and will now bring in the new generation model to our shores.
Unlike the 2014 Endeavour, this upcoming model is an all-new generation from the ground up. It sports an all new platform, a new rear suspension, and a bolder looking design. Talking about design, the New Ford Endeavour gets a massive chrome grille up front accompanied by silver scuff plates that house the fog lamps. The horizontally stacked headlights sync well with the rest of the front end. At the back, the silver scuff plates and the chrome above the registration plate dominate.
Thanks to the new platform, there is more space on the inside of the 2015 Endeavour too. Space aside, the interior of the Endeavour has been improved too. The dashboard looks clean yet premium thanks to the beige and black combination. Like all the new-generation offerings, the Ford Endeavour too will come heavily loaded with features.
Moving on to the heart of the matter, the 2015 Endeavour will be launched in India with two engine options andndash; a 2.2-litre 4 pot mill and a 3.2-litre 5-cylinder unit. It makes 160PS and 385Nm from the 2.2-litre heart while the higher displacement Endeavour makes 200PS and 470Nm. The smaller engine is expected to be launched with a manual transmission while the larger 3.2 Endeavour will only come with a 6-speed automatic. The top-spec variant will also come with AWD.
Expect the 2016 Ford Endeavour to be priced starting Rs 25 lakh. When launched, the Endeavour will compete against the likes of the recently launched Chevrolet Trailblazer and the Toyota Fortuner.
