Hyundai Elite i20 and Active are now with Standard Dual Airbags

Hyundai's top selling hatchback, the i20, is now getting equipped with dual airbags for the entire range of later in all variants of the Celerio, WagonR, Swift, and Swift Dzire.

Hyundai has introduced these standardised features late in the models for the i20 range, despite being known for selling feature-loaded cars as compared to its rivals in the market. Carmakers like Toyota and Volkswagen had already incorporated the safety features in its entry level vehicles.

With the addition of dual airbags, one can expect a price hike of approximately Rs 15-20 thousand across all variants of the i20. In the Indian market, the Elite i20 had recently achieved record sales of 1.5 lakh units since its launch in 2014. The Hyundai i20 has been a strong contender amongst its rivals and it still is. On a competition check, is the only vehicle in its segment to be left out without dual airbags for all variants as a standard feature.
