Alex Marquez joins Marc on the Honda RC213V

Alex Marquez and Marc Marquez

Soon after Marc Marquez broke Mick Doohan's record of winning 12 races in a single season while younger brother Alex Marquez won the Moto3 championship the action didn't stop at Valencia. The Spanish track was the destination for the first 2015 preseason testing which turned out to be an interesting affair. Alex Marquez was seen on the race track riding Marc Marquez's RC213V MotoGP machine. Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) later stated that Alex Marquez was allowed to ride on his brother's title winning motorcycle as a reward for winning the Moto3 season.

This quelled all rumours by the Spanish media that both the brothers will ride for Honda in the premiere class of racing. The fact remains that Dani Pedrosa has signed a two year extension with Repsol Honda which means fans will have to wait at least two more years to see the Marquez sibling's race for the same team. Alex Marquez rode for a total of 12 laps alongside Marc during the first preseason testing at Valencia.
