Vito Ippolito re-elected as FIM president

At the General Assembly held in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, it was announced that Venezuelan-born Vito Ippolito will continue as the FIM president for the next four years. It will be the third term for the 62 year old gentleman. In total 103 national federations took part in the election process. Of which Ippolito secured 62 votes as compared to the 41 votes received by his rival candidate Jorge Viegas of Portugal.


Speaking immediately after learning of his re-election, Vito Ippolito said: "I am extremely pleased to have been given the opportunity to continue in my role as FIM President and would like to personally thank all those who have given me their loyal support, not only today but over the past eight years."
