Hyundai Creta

Korean manufacturer Hyundai has won the hearts and minds of the Indian customer with the new Creta SUV, achieving over 90,000 bookings of the SUV in just the five months since its launch. Of this figure, 15,770 bookings are from the export market and the remaining 75,000 booking are from the domestic market. With the current rate of bookings the carmakers expects to cross the mark of 80,000 bookings in the domestic market by the end of year.

Hyundai currently manufactures the Creta solely in India. The Hyundai Creta SUV is shipped to 77 countries like Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru and Panama in Latin America as well as West Asian and African countries like Oman, UAE, Egypt, Morocco and Nigeria.

Right now, owning a Hyundai Creta means that aspiring owners will have to have a lot of patience, as it still carries a waiting period of 3 months or more. The manufacturer had shifted to higher gear now, aiming to roll out 7,500 units per month of the Creta as compared to 6,500 units in its initial stages of production to cope up to the requirement. Taking the unprecedented customers' enthusiasm into consideration, Hyundai will further increase the production of the Creta by another 10,000 units per month starting from the new year.
