Before the official launch of the new Hyundai Creta on July 21, the much awaited compact SUV has been spotted undisguised in India. The spy pictures did spoil the Hyundai party, as details and images of the car had been kept under wraps for the longest time.
The images revealed the Hyundai Creta's exterior design which carries the company's popular Fluidic cues, hexagonal grille and three chrome slats. The projector headlights in higher variants come with static bending lights. Apart from this, the front bumper has a black lower half and vertically stacked fog lamps. Overall it resembles the new Hyundai Santa Fe styling, albeit it is smaller in proportion.
More importantly, Team-BHP has managed to get their hands on the Hyundai Creta brochure from a dealership, which discloses all the details about the variants of the soon-to-be-launched car.

According to the dealer's brochure, which clearly has some printing errors, the new Hyundai Creta will be offered in 6 varaints including Base, S, S+, SX, SX+ and SX(O). The sole 123PS, 1.6-litre petrol motor mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, will be available in the Base, S and SX+ trim variants.
The two diesels would be a 90PS, 1.4-litre and a 128PS, 1.6-litre engine options. Both the oil-burners will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox offered in the SX, SX+ and SX(O) trim. While the larger 1.6-litre diesel will also be available with a 6-speed automatic transmission, but will only be offered in the mid SX+ variant.

Plenty of body colour options are also on offer such as Star Dust, Pearl Beige, Red Passion, Mystic Blue, but we reckon the top selling colours would be the Sleek Silver, Polar White and Phantom Black. Hyundai is yet to reveal the fuel efficiency of the new Creta, but we expect the claimed mileage of the diesel 1.6-litre Hyundai Creta to be around 21kmpl; the 1.4-litre diesel would return about 20kmpl; and the petrol 1.6-litre would claim a mileage of approximately 15kmpl.

The on road price of the new Hyundai Creta will be announced on July 21, 2015, which we expect to be in the range of Rs 8 lakh to 15 lakh in India.
