Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) announced an increase in price across its model range. Starting from the entry-level Eon to their flagship SantaFe SUV, a rise in price has been levied on all its models. The price increase would be up to Rs 30,000 in light of the rise in input costs. The only car to have made an exception is the newly launched compact SUV Creta. The prices of the Creta start from Rs 8.59 lakh for the base petrol variant while the top-end trim goes right up to Rs 13.60 lakh.
Commenting on the price increase Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. Vice President andndash; sales and marketing, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, "The price increase has been necessitated by increase of input costs. We have been absorbing most of the costs but now we are constrained to consider the price increase in these challenging market environment."
Currently, Hyundai sells 10 cars across segments andndash; Eon, i10, Grand i10, Elite i20, i20 Active, Verna, Creta, Elantra and the flagship SantaFe.
