Maruti Suzuki, India's leading car manufacturer, has recently been very keen on safety features. The Indian mass car manufacturer has announced that all that the variants of the Celerio hatchback will now be offered with ABS and dual airbags, while the CNG variant gets only dual airbags. Launched at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, the Celerio was the first car in the segment to be provided with auto gear shift technology which is a simpler version of an automatic gearbox.

The Celerio sits in a very attractive price bracket placing it above the Alto K10 and below the Wagon-R and Swift in the Maruti Suzuki range. The Celerio is powered by a two engine options, the 1.0-litre petrol engine and the 0.8-litre diesel engine. Moreover, the Celerio is also available with a CNG kit option, thus making the hatch the only car in its segment to be offered with three fuel options and two transmission options. The CNG variant of the Celerio will receive only dual airbags as an option.
