Ever since Michael Schumacher met with an accident on a skiing trip, numerous reports have claimed that they have knowledge of how the multiple time Formula 1 driver is faring. Just recently a German news outlet reported that the retired racer is now "very thin" and is somehow "able to walk." The report claimed that the information it was able to obtain came from a source who happens to know of Schumacher's condition.
Now, Schumacher's long time manager Sabine Kehm, who has spoken on behalf of the family since the accident, denied the report, saying it raised "false hopes".
"Unfortunately, we are forced ... to clarify that the assertion that Michael could move again is not true," Kehm said.
"Such speculation is irresponsible, because given the seriousness of his injuries, Michael's privacy is very important for him. Unfortunately they also give false hopes to many people involved."
Schumacher emerged from his coma in April 2014, and has been receiving care at his home in Switzerland since September last year. Earlier this year, Kehm told reporters her client was showing signs of slow improvement "considering the severity of his injury".
It is very clear that Schumacher and his family do not want to be bothered about Michael's condition, and this is not the first time that false reports have gone out about Michael Schumacher. This does lead to the question of how Michael Schumacher really is doing, as he has been undergoing extensive rehabilitation in his Lake Geneva mansion.
