The crowds of Kolkata were in for a real surprise as the duo 'travelled in one pair of jacket and pant to search for jobs in this city' for their upcoming film, which also stars Vidya Balan, Big B wrote in his later. Navigating through the iconic yellow Ambassador taxis of the city, the stars were captured by many onlookers on their cell phones.
Along with the scooter ride, the actors also moved 'from Tollygunj to the Esplanade in the wonderful Tram service' during their recent tryst with the city. Big B, who had lived and worked in Kolkata in the 60s before his roaring success in Bollywood, confessed to being filled with 'nostalgia' as he rode past the Maidan and the Race Course, down Park Street and Red Road, and through the neighbourhood of Ballygunge.
Expressing his undulating love for the city, Bachchan later uploaded more pictures on his Facebook page later. The megastar also shared a photograph of him kick-starting his scooter on Sunday following some cheeky sneak peeks of the upcoming movie earlier.
Amitabh Bachchan fondly recalled his time in the city on his blog, remembering eating puchkas at Victoria Memorial, haunting Park Street hotspots Trincas, Blue Fox and Mocambo and watching movies at Lighthouse Cinema. Both the other main actors - Nawazuddin Siddique and Vidya Balan - have also had pleasant memories shooting in the city for Sujoy Ghosh's 'Kahaani' that translated into a sparkling success on the silver screen.
