Hyundai sales in October 2015

While Maruti Suzuki has grown at over 24 percent in October 2015, Hyundai India has seen increase in sales at a similar pace. The Korean carmaker posted their best ever sales figures last month with a domestic number at 47,015 units. It's a rise of 23.7 percent compared to October 2014.

Credit goes largely to the Grand i10 which, at 14,079 units, is at an all-time sales high since its launch. Even Hyundai's premium models andndash; Elite i20, i20 Active and Creta are running at the peak of their production with waiting periods running into months. Some variants of the Creta for instance have a waiting period of six months while some variants of the Elite i20 will get delivered after three months due to high demand. Cumulatively, the 18,244 units of the three models were delivered.

Commenting on the October sales, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP- Sales and Marketing, HMIL said, "Hyundai sales of 47,015 units are all-time highest with an all-time high sales of Grand i10 with 14,079 units andamp; continued strong performance of Modern Premium Brands CRETA andamp; Elite i20/Active with 18,244 units with maximised production to meet the strong demands of the Customers so as to minimise the waiting period as we expect the growth momentum to continue in the coming months with improving customer sentiments."
