Maruti crosses 1.2 lakh units sales in October, 2015

Maruti Suzuki has been having a steady growth in the overall sales for the year of 2015. The newly launched facelifted version of the Ertiga MPV seems to be very promising for Maruti Suzuki. The overall sales achieved for the month of October are 1.21 lakh units for the domestic market with growth percentage of 24 per cent. Maruti Suzuki India registered maximum growth in utility vehicle segment, which includes Ertiga, and the recently launched S-Cross. Total of 9,435 units have been sold in the utility vehicle segment with a percentage hike of 56.5 per cent as compared to 6,027 units in 2014.

Maruti Ciaz

The compact vehicle segment has also been able to generate good sales volumes, which includes the Swift, Ritz, Celerio, new Baleno, Dzire. A total of 51,048 units have been sold in the compact vehicle segment with a percentage growth of 37.7 per cent as compared to 37,083 units in 2014. Drop in the sales of mid-size segment has been observed which includes the SX-4 and the Ciaz. A total of 5,890 units have been sold in the mid-size segment with a percentage drop of 7.2 per cent as compared to 6,345 units in 2014. Till date the overall domestic sales achieved by Maruti Suzuki is 7,50,026 units for the year 2015. The upcoming festive season is expected to boost the sales further.
